NLPI’s Management team consists
of the 11 members representing various components of the NLPI partnership
and serves a variety of roles according to their expertise, including:
academic and business expertise in IT, life sciences and biomedical
informatics fields; expertise in technology-based workforce development,
technology transfer processes, technology-based economic development,
venture capital, science incubators, and access to start-up and existing
IT, life sciences, and biomedical informatics companies. The management
team will be responsible for general oversight of technology roadmap
activities (STARS, Technology
Resources Database,
and Interactive Website), promoting NLPI activities among public
and private sector organizations, recruiting new NLPI partners, ongoing
internal project assessment and seeking additional funding opportunities
to advance NLPI goals.
