NLPI and CERT sponsor the 2nd CERT Institute for Biomedical Informatics Symposium (CIBI), Friday April 2nd at LSU in Shreveport Researchers, faculty members, industry leaders, and students gathered at LSU in Shreveport on Friday, April 2, 2004, for the 2nd CERT Institute for Biomedical Informatics Symposium, sponsored by NLPI and CERT.
Over 70 attendees gained invaluable information in the biomedical informatics field through illustrated talks, presentations and poster displays.
Keynote speaker for this symposium was Dr. Georges G. Grinstein, Director of the Institute for Visualization and Perception Research, and Director of the Center for Biomolecular and Medical Informatics at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
Other invited speakers included:
- Mr. Charles McMahon, Associate Director of Telecommunications at the Center for Computation and Technology at Louisiana State University
- Dr. Steven F. Jennings, Director of Arkansas Biomedical Research Infrastructure Network, University of Arkansas at Little Rock
