Six represent NLPI and CERT at BIO 2004 Conference in San Francisco - June 6-10, 2004 NLPI and CERT helped promote life science research and development in north Louisiana to the international stage with a booth (sponsored by CERT), which was a part of the Louisiana Pavillion at the Biotechnology Industry Organization's four-day convention (BIO 2004).
Approximately 16,000 perople attended the annual showcase of the biotechnology industry, which included an exhibit hall with 1,200 booths from around the world.
Manning the CERT booth were Patti Trudell (CERT), Sheryl Ostendorff (NLPI), Dr. Austin Temple (Northwestern State University), Mike Manheimer (LSU Health Sciences Center - Shreveport), Dr. Al Vekovius (LSU in Shreveport), and Gay Vekovius (LSU Health Sciences Center - Shreveport).
Other NLPI / CERT institutions represented at BIO 2004 included:
Louisiana Economic Development, a state supporter of CERT and NLPI, also manned an exhibit booth.
